Worship Songs for Shavuot
Shavuot, the Feast of Weeks, is fifty days from First Fruits and marks both the giving of the Torah at Sinai and the outpouring of the Spirit described in Acts 2. The convergence of these two events on the same appointed time is not coincidence. It is architecture. Yahweh chose Shavuot for both the written Torah and the internalized Spirit because they are two expressions of the same covenant reality.
"Wind And Fire" is NARROWAY's Shavuot song. It draws on the imagery of Acts 2, the sound of the rushing wind, the fire on the heads of the gathered community, the outpouring that changes everything. The song carries the energy and the awe of that moment while remaining anchored in the feast context that makes sense of it.
Shavuot is one of the three pilgrimage feasts, among the most important appointments in the biblical calendar. Having a contemporary song that captures both its Torah and Spirit dimensions fills a gap that has existed in the feast-music landscape for a long time.
